Build With God

He Remembers You

He Remembers You thumbnail
Scripture:
The Lord remembers us and will bless us.
Psalm 115:12

Observation:
This verse is simple and steady. God remembers. He blesses. Not because we strive hard enough or stay busy enough, but because He is faithful. The promise is rooted in who He is, not in how frantic we are.

Application:
I have seasons where I confuse motion with progress. When I was building one of our software platforms, I filled my days with activity. Sales calls, feature tweaks, late night coding sessions, endless Slack messages. I told myself I was being productive. But if I am honest, I was mostly reacting. I was busy, not strategic.

The result was exhaustion without real traction. Revenue plateaued. The team felt my stress. At home, I was present in body but not in mind. Activity without direction will do that.

Psalm 115:12 pulls me back to something deeper. The Lord remembers us and will bless us. That means I do not have to operate out of fear that everything depends on me. I do not have to chase every opportunity. I do not have to say yes to every meeting.

What I need is discipline.

Discipline to prioritize leverage over busyness. Discipline to step back and ask, What actually moves the mission forward? Discipline to build systems instead of constantly putting out fires.

In business, that has meant choosing to document processes instead of answering the same question ten times. It has meant investing in one strong distribution channel instead of dabbling in five weak ones. It has meant saying no to custom work that brings quick cash but distracts from the core product.

As a husband and father, discipline looks like shutting the laptop when I said I would. It looks like being fully at the dinner table instead of mentally drafting tomorrow’s pitch.

If the Lord remembers me, I can slow down enough to think. If He is the one who blesses, I can focus on faithful execution instead of frantic expansion. My job is stewardship. His job is blessing.

When I truly believe that, my calendar changes. My leadership changes. My tone changes.

I build from trust instead of anxiety.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that You remember me.
Help me trade busyness for discipline.
Give me clarity to focus on what truly matters.
Teach me to trust You for the results.

Build With God,
Bill
